From the moment I met Melissa and Gabriel, I knew their wedding at The 1909 Topanga Canyon was going to be something special. These two pediatricians love the outdoors and keeping things simple, and wanted their wedding to reflect that. Since they got engaged while hiking Topanga, The 1909 seemed like a perfect venue. Their wedding took place on a Sunday afternoon just days after some of California’s worst rain storms. The sun peeked in and out of the clouds all morning as the tables were set with Melissas diy flowers and sweet little details. Instead of traditional elements like first dances and cake cutting, Melissa and Gabriel decided to spend every moment of their wedding day just enjoying the company of their friends and family. It was such a sweet reminder that a wedding is not about the details, it’s about the couple.
