The day started quietly as Nikki and her closest friends and family got ready at the Fess Parker, Santa Barbara. She just couldn’t wait to see the wedding she had worked months to create finally come together. While everyone was was moving quickly to finish their hair and makeup, she was simply peaceful. She managed to get everyone out their door as swiftly as possible and on their way to the venue. As we drove up the hill to Elings Park, there were signs telling Nikki and Ryan’s “story.” How they met, how he proposed, and little facts about the two of them. But she didn’t pay attention to any of it. All she could think about was seeing Ryan as she began her walk down the aisle. When that moment finally came it was everything she had dreamt of. He smiled and held back tears as his perfect, beautiful bride made her way towards him.
One of the first things Nikki shared with me about her wedding was that is would be “packaging themed” since they had first met working at a packaging company. I had NO idea what this meant, until I arrived and saw their adorable invites, a message in a bottle station, the placemats, and the words “The Perfect Package” (aka Nikki and Ryan) written everywhere as their theme of the evening. It was truly a labor of love and incredible to see her vision come to life. I am so honored to have been their photographer and cannot wait to see where their beautiful marriage takes them!
