For those of you that have been following my blog (Hi mom!) I started this journey back in 2012. This March I celebrated a year of following my dream and it has gotten even better since! 2013 was my first full year of business and I am overwhelmed with how amazing it has been! I find it difficult to express how thankful I am for my clients, but here it goes anyway… Because of you, this dream I carried in the back of my mind has become real. You trusted me, you supported me, and you gave Jessica M. Wood Photography a chance. For that I will always be so grateful to you and your beautiful families. The time that I spent getting to know you, whether it was in preparation for a wedding or lifestyle session, has brought me so much joy. I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and to even call some of them friends. So THANK YOU a million times over!!!

In the past year I have photographed 36 Sessions (including maternity, newborns, families, seniors, engagements, and more), 6 Weddings and 3 Styled Shoots (a wedding, elopement, and anniversary). I was also featured on three top wedding blogs (WHAT!) I designed a new website and blog, mentored a couple of aspiring photographers, and also purchased a new beauuuutiful camera and a few more pieces of equipment to keep it company. It was a big year in my personal life too. Although there were many challenges (like being put in a boot TWICE), I am thankful for the good times. Sam and I adopted a second puppy, I graduated from college and then got accepted in to graduate school at USC, and I made some incredible memories. At the end of the day, I am SO ready for 2014 and the exciting adventures it will bring!
